Cause

The Comox Valley United Men’s Team presents the Tommy Butcher Memorial Fundraiser. Tom Butcher was a member of the Comox Valley United Men’s Team who lost his life in a tragic kayak accident in December 2016. Each year since, the men’s team hosts an indoor tournament in Tom’s memory, with proceeds supporting Comox Valley Search & Rescue. To date, the tournament has raised over $20,000 for CVSAR.

Comox Valley Search & Rescue has recently taken a major step forward by purchasing a permanent building for the team. This means we are no longer leasing, but the building requires significant renovation and upgrades to properly support training, operations, and emergency response. Funds raised will go directly toward transforming the new hall into a functional, long-term home that meets the needs of our volunteers and the wider community.

Your support will help us to raise funds for the renovation of our new permanent hall.
